A Decade of Growth
Founded in Nairobi
Filao Networks Solutions established by a group of network engineers with a vision to bring enterprise-grade connectivity to Kenyan businesses. First 50 clients connected via wireless broadband in Westlands.
Fiber Network Launch
We deployed our first fiber optic backbone covering key commercial areas of Nairobi. Our ISP license from the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA-KE) was granted, enabling direct internet transit provision.
Security Division Launched
Responding to growing demand, we established our dedicated Physical Security and Network Security division. The first large-scale CCTV deployments for commercial complexes and the first enterprise firewall managed service contracts were signed.
Cloud & IoT Division
We expanded into cloud network services and IoT integration, securing partnerships with AWS and Microsoft Azure. Our first smart building deployments were completed for leading corporate campuses in Nairobi.
Regional Expansion
Network infrastructure extended to Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru. The NOC (Network Operations Centre) was upgraded to 24/7 staffing with real-time monitoring of over 10,000 connected devices across all client sites.
